"I sent a resume to a prospective employer and followed up after a few days. After several exchanges of voicemail I got hold of the HR manager. She said there were no opportunities, at this time, for a position with my skills. I could have ended the conversation there and thank her politely, but I was in a NETWORKING mode of thinking.
